Fixing the cause, not the symptom
Most roof repairs fail because somebody sealed where the water came out instead of finding where it went in. Water travels along decking and rafters and can surface many feet from the actual failure. We trace it back.
What usually turns out to be wrong
In this valley: flashing at a wall or chimney, a valley that was never lined properly, a cracked boot on a plumbing vent, wind-lifted shingles along an exposed edge, or ice damming from an attic that is too warm. Very few are the field of the roof itself.

You get pictures of what we found and what we did. If the honest answer is that the roof is near the end of its life and a repair is throwing good money after bad, we will say that too.

Ice and water shield at the eaves and valleys, synthetic across the field.
Flashing
Walls, chimneys, skylights and vents. This is where roofs actually leak.
Ventilation
Balanced intake and exhaust, or the attic cooks the roof from underneath.
The deck
We look at what is under the old roof before we build on it.
About Roof Repair
Is it worth repairing an old roof?
It depends what is failing and how old it is. A twenty-five year old roof with a bad valley may be worth one more repair; the same roof with granule loss across the whole south face is not. We will give you the number both ways.
How fast can you get out for a leak?
Actively leaking gets priority, and in storm season we run emergency calls. Call the office rather than filling in a form if water is coming in right now.
